Go from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Central Station in just 17 minutes with the NS trains. The fastest and most convenient way to travel between the terminal and the city!

How to Get from Schiphol Airport to the City Center?

Once you land at Schiphol Airport, head to the train station located under the main terminal lobby. From there, you can take the NS (Nederlandse Spoorwegen) trains, which will take you to Amsterdam Central Station in just 17 minutes. It's that quick and easy!

The train makes the following stops:

  • Schiphol Airport: Departure station.
  • Amsterdam Lelylaan: Here you can take metro line 50.
  • Amsterdam Sloterdijk: Corresponds to the bus station for low-cost companies.
  • Amsterdam Central: Final stop on the route.

If you want to make the journey in reverse, i.e., travel to Schiphol Airport from Amsterdam, you can take the train from Central Station or any of the intermediate stops.

Please note that the time selected in your reservation will correspond with the departure time from the first stop: from Schiphol Station if you are departing from the airport, or from Central Station if you are starting your journey in Amsterdam.

Schedule & Frequency

The NS train between Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Central Station runs every day between 12:02 am and 11:32 pm, with trains departing approximately every 10 minutes.
